I have two favorite things today, and they’re both people. Aren’t people just the best kind of things?
First, Kate. My newest sponsor. Her blog is as awesome is she is, and always full of goodies to check out.
Hello everyone, I’m Kate over at Discover. Create. Live. I’m happily married to my husband Wes, and we have a beautiful 13-month-old little girl Hayden. We love to blog about our family, gluten free cooking, and lots of different crafts & projects we do to help beautify our home. I’m still fairly new to the blogging community, but I love finding new people to interact with {and doing fun things like this sponsor swap!} So feel free to check out our blog, and leave a comment so we can check out yours too!

Go say hi – you will like her.
Second. You guys. I almost died this week.
I can’t even remember the last time I was so sick. I made it at work for about 30 minutes on Wednesday before I started throwing up, but I couldn’t go home because the rental we are in is for sale and they had showings that day, so I made it as far as my parents, which is where Junior happened to be anyway because he hangs with my dad on Wednesdays. And I slept and threw up and complained. And then mom made a wonderful dinner and special request pie (sour cream raisin – eww) for D for his birthday. And I watched them eat and nibbled on toast, and then lost my toast and went back to bed.
And then we all decided that Junior and I would just spend the night there because, frankly, I had no desire to leave that bed and dad could take him to daycare in the morning to save D from doing it because he’s worked 437 hours already this week. But then in the middle of the night, Dad got sick! And come to find out later, my brother Tanner got sick! And mom was/is on a diet of saltines and sprite. Brutal. Whatever it is has reached “regional epidemic” status here in NE Kansas. Avoid us if you can.
Anyway, just had to say a big ol “thank you” to my parents for letting me convalesce at their crib, and for all their help with Junior.
Also – D… my dear sweet D turned 31 yesterday. And I celebrated him with puke breath and a very touching gift of a happy-freaking-birthday card with the added thoughtfulness of my handwriting indicating that the card = any Harley related item of his choosing.
Romantic, no?
Thanks for understanding, punkin. I’ll make it up to you while we’re in Colorado.
Which reminds me – We’re going to Colorado.
Enjoy your weekends! Talk to you next week!!

I’m so glad you didn’t die! Heard that stomach flu is nasty. Happy birthday D!
Brutal! I’ll tell him, thanks!
Ach, I’m sorry you’re sick! I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks Ashley! I do believe I’m on the mend.
I’m so sorry you were sick! But glad you are feeling better! Have a great weekend! And happy birthday to D!
Thanks Ashley! I’ll pass it along to him.
Glad you’re feeling better. I just had that a couple weeks ago too- brutal! Happy birthday to D!
Awful! Glad you’re better!
Happy to hear you’re feeling better! We also enjoy Kate’s site.
So, the big question is… what does a diet of sardines and sprite do? Is that some kind of cure?
Saltines! Like the cracker – not sardines! LOL! eww…
And I thought I had a rough week… I’m glad you’re feeling better! It sounds like it was brutal.
Have fun in Colorado!
Thanks Nette!
Oh noooo…I’m sorry you all got sick with a stomach bug! That is truly THE WORST!! I hope everyone is on the mends, and Happy Birthday, D!
Oh my that sounds awful! You all need to get better! Happy birthday to your hubby and yay for vacation! I have one coming up to spill too
That sounds awful. Atleast you are feeling better for the weekend, though! But still, keep that bug over on your side of the country. =)
Thanks dear!

Throwing up is the absolute worst! Especially when you get to that stage when you’re hungry and thirsty but you know there’s nothing you can do. sadness. Anyways.. yeay for vacations!! Hope you feel better soon!
Sorry, friendy! I’m glad you’re starting to feel a little more like living being. Hope you continue on that path. Feel better! Enjoy Colorado!
