Birthdays and A Sneak Peek

If ever you build a house, and your lease runs out before the new house is built.. I suggest asking my parents if you can stay with them. 

They will move out of their own bedroom so that you can have the extra space.  The whole place is always magically clean.  There is always yummy food around, and coffee is always brewing.  They will watch your kid so you can run out for a 2-liter of Pepsi.  And Mom leaves mints on your pillows.  :)

Junior and I both had birthdays last week and we both mini celebrated.  We had to be out of the rental on my birthday, so most of the day was spent moving and cleaning.  But we finished strong with Italian food.  Then I blew out my delicious lemon cake candles with my fire breathing skillz.

I want to have Junior’s real party at the new house, so it’s on hold for just a little bit.  In the meantime, we got together with the grandparents for a mini 4-wheel ride and some ice cream.

Progress on the house is coming right along.  D and Bob the Builder worked all day yesterday.  I so appreciate both of them spending their Sunday away from their families so that I can have a nice bathroom.  And a nice bathroom, we shall have!  We chose to work with Bob in large part because of his craftsmanship, and he hasn’t disappointed.

  18. wow!!! from the looks of that bath, i can’t wait to see the rest of your house. how sweet of your folks to give up their bedroom and mints on the pillow, now that just over-the-top. do they take reservations? ;)

  26. Brawn is going to be cursing the blog world soon. Now I want a stone wall in my bathroom. I’m not lying. It would go so well with all the rock in the rest of the house. Better sign me up for the mints on the pillow thing at mom and dads because I’m gonna have to stay there when he sends me packing with the instructions… ‘it’s either me or blogging’!.
