Driftwood Mirror

We all saw Pottery Barn’s driftwood mirror, yes?

(via)

And we all liked it.  But I liked it a lot.

So clean and elemental, yet so rustic.

I showed it to D and he scoffed.  “$200??  Please.  I can pick up some sticks and glue them to a mirror if you really want it.”

Somehow the vision that came to mind wasn’t exactly the same as above and I let it go.

Until.

Until I happened to drive past Kohl’s.  I never shop at Kohl’s, do you?  My mom loooooves it, but I’ve always had a rather blase attitude towards it.

But they were having a sale, and those four letters sometimes steer me into unusual places.

I bet you can guess what I found.

HA!  I had better pictures than this one, but I love Bill’s sweet face in the reflection.  And my really toned and sexy leg.

So how does Kohl’s compare to Pottery Barn, price-wise?

Not bad.  But they were having a sale, remember?

I forgot to mention that this was in the clearance aisle.

Ahem, the super clearance aisle.

BOOM.

You’ve got a new friend for life, Kohl’s!

  1. OMG, really???? That’s amazing! I once got a $250 mirror for $25 because it had a scratch on the brushed bronze frame and had been sitting around for a while at World Market! You can’t even see the scratch! Your driftwood mirror is awesome!

  2. Andy and I were looking at this same mirror at our Kohls recently. Might have to swing by there tonight on the way home. Would be perfect for our lake house.

  3. Whoa, $13? Super jealous!! I love finding great deals like that! After boating on the river and seeing the river driftwood, I have been wanting to incorporate it into my house, but Charlie isn’t quite onto the idea yet…

  4. I heart Kohl’s! I live for the 30% off + Kohl’s cash sales! $12.99 is freakin’ awesome! High Five Grrrfriend!

  5. I thought Kohl’s only had slutty teenager clothes (I hope you are okay with the word slutty on your blog. My appologies if not. :P ) and cheap running shoes. Maybe I need to rethink this Kohl’s business.

  6. OMG!!!! That’s awesome! I don’t usually shop at Khol’s either, but on a whim I went in there cuz the dog chewed up my husbands sandals, and just got my hubs a pair of sandals from 79$ down to 15$.

  7. That totally ROCKS!!!!
I LOVE when these things happen, especially to me, but also to others!! By the way…I am totally loving the new house & of course all of the pics of Junior that you & Grandma post all the time!! He is simply Irresistible!!!

  8. My thoughts as I saw your price pictures:

    1. Who pays that much for a mirror?
    2. Is that what anyone calls a bargain?
    3. Well, that’s a little better, but I still wouldn’t pay that much.
    4. WHAT?! BUY IT IMMEDIATELY!

    Glad you listened. ;)
