A Happy Little Wreath

Thanksgiving was great and blah blah blah.  Food and family and blah.  No one cares now that it’s over, right?  Now we’re all like,

Know what’s sad?  D doesn’t find Will Ferrell as hilarious as I do.

Him: I love you.

Me: I love lamp.

Him: Are you drunk?

Sad.

Anyway, now that we got the whole ‘being thankful for stuff’ out of the way, it’s time to celebrate little baby Jesus by acquiring more stuff to be thankful for next November.

I started by acquiring five little wreaths.

And affixing five little bows.

And cutting five little pieces of ribbon.

And scotch taping them to five little windows.

See those Santas?  My dad carved them and my mom painted them.  Don’t you think they should start an Etsy store to sell them??  They’d be rich!  Then by proxy, I’d be rich!  We’d be like Duck Dynasty: The Santa Edition, and the boys could grow their beards out while us girls just stood around looking fine.

Genius.

  1. Isn’t it funny how we jump holidays so quickly in the blogging world. I thought about sharing what we did for Thanksgiving too but figured no one cared at this point. Haha!
Elf is one of our favorite Christmas movies. Every time we leave to go on a trip we always holler back at Buddy, our cat, “Bye, Buddy.” Just like the dude at the north pole in Elf!

  2. Those Santa’s are cute! I’d buy 10 or 19.

Andy doesn’t get why I love that movie so much… he’s all “how can it be THAT funny every time you watch it?” I’m all, “how can you watch Fast and Furious EVERY time it’s on TV??” And that’s not even funny. Boys… they are weird.

  3. There is just too much awesomeness in this post. 1) I spit out my spearmint lifesaver as I scrolled down and saw the “keep calm” picture, 2) I got real sad to see that D doesn’t share in our love of Will Ferrell, 3) your wreaths are too cute, 4) I love that you know what Duck Dynasty is and 5) your parents should TOTALLY sell those things on Etsy because they’d make millions, and most of all, D would love to have his beard back. :)

  4. I was trying to shake off the last time you said D was a long lost family member of Duck Dynasty. Now you said it again to including your parents. I must get this thought out of my head. I don’t want you guys to be them.

    Bliss

  5. Dad needs to quit giving his stuff away and start carving! I might paint….Daddy isn’t too whoopie at the beard growing part, lol

  6. Things I love about this post: 1. Will Ferrell anything…especially Elf. 2. Your husband asks if you are drunk when you say awesome things. I also get asked this often. 3. Duck Dynasty. Amazing.

  7. Yep, I think you have a million dollar idea with the Etsy shop. The world needs another Duck Dynasty. I’d nominate my husband to join if only he could grow a beard like that!

  8. You know that I love me some Will Ferrell. I think if work would let us, we would quote Anchorman all day long. Will Ferrell movies are the answer to every question.

I also love the wreaths too :)

  9. If i’d met you before you got married and I heard that D didn’t love Will Ferrell, I’d be all: “Amy, HUGE RED FLAG. Get out while you still can!” But now I’m realizing that marriages between Will fans and non-Will fans can work after all. I never would’ve thought it until this moment.
